Record home sales in Bucharest at the end of 2024
The last month of 2024 brought a significant increase in home sales in Bucharest. According to ANCPI, 5,136 properties were transacted, representing an increase of 18.7% compared to November.
This positive trend confirms the growing interest in properties in the Capital, both from local and international investors. Bucharest continues to offer solid opportunities for acquisitions with high yield potential.
“The year 2024 was a year that offered many investment opportunities for the real estate market in Bucharest. Sales of new apartments, houses, and villas saw significant increases from month to month, which demonstrates the interest in real estate, both from investors looking to obtain attractive returns from rental or resale operations, and from those who want to improve their living comfort,” says Vlad Musteață, CEO North Bucharest Investments.
Bucharest, the epicenter of real estate investments
Bucharest is the most attractive city for Romanian and foreign investors, due to the consistent gains offered by the real estate market and the business opportunities in the area. Data from ANCPI shows that in December 2024 there were 18.7% more homes sold than in November, that is 5,136 units compared to 4,326 in the previous month.
The varied offer of properties, modern infrastructure, and accessibility to business centers and urban facilities increase the attractiveness of the Capital for investors.
Residential demand nationwide: Bucharest leads the ranking
Across the country, the demand for residential properties consolidated in December 2024. According to ANCPI, a total of 15,650 homes were transacted.

“The modern infrastructure of the Capital, the location of available properties, and accessibility to renowned educational institutions, hospitals, major shopping areas, or office centers are important arguments for the upward trend in demand for properties in Bucharest,” emphasizes Vlad Musteață.

In this context of accelerated growth, North Bucharest Investments reported a total of 143 transactions in Bucharest in December 2024, with a cumulative value of 22 million euros.
Compared to November 2024, when 126 transactions were completed, the company recorded a monthly increase of 13%, confirming the market's dynamism and the efficiency of the NBI team.
Bucharest is consolidating its position as the leader of the real estate market in Romania, and the results of North Bucharest Investments reflect investors’ confidence in the exceptional potential of the Capital.
